La Casa de los Sabores La Casa de los Sabores is an older colonial style home located within the historic center of town, an area that UNESCO has declared to be a part of the Cultural Patrimony of Humanity. We are just 5 minutes from the Zócalo and 5 blocks from the "Andador Turístico" area with its many beautiful churches, galleries, shops, and book stores and within walking distance of other interesting areas of the city. Accommodations include 5 double rooms, four of which have high ceilings and open out into the courtyard -- all with private bath and all tastefully decorated with regional art and antiques.

Our lavish breakfasts, featuring typical Oaxacan cuisine prepared with fresh and healthy ingredients, are served between 8 and 10 am. We can adjust the menu for special diets.

Temazcal Bath

La Casa de los Sabores offers you the opportunity to enhance your vacation by trying the traditional indigenous herbal sweat bath --Temazcal -- the nahuatl word for bath house. The traditional baths were used by the Aztecs as therapeutic cleansing and purification, and also for rituals. We invite you to take advantage of an unforgettable experience -- a journey to the indigenous past through the Temazcal bath -- where the combination of the energy of fire with wood, rocks, water and herbs purifies your body, your mind and your spirit. The bath house is constructed according to traditional specifications and is located in a lovely garden - a gift of nature which contributes to your feeling of tranquility, peace and rest. Observe and participate in indigenous culture in an extraordinary way. Our techniques of soft massage will relax, revitalize and energize your body.

CONDITIONS

• No children under 6 years of age.
• No pets.
• If you decide to leave Las Bugambilias before your scheduled departure date, we expect full payment for the unused nights (previously reserved).
• For the comfort of our guests, smoking is not allowed in our B&B.
• Check in: 2 pm - 8 pm
• Check out: Noon
• If your room becomes available before 2 pm, we will be happy to give you the room.
• Rates subject to change without notice.
• If arriving after 8 pm a 48 hour notice is required.
• For the comfort, consideration, and safety of our guests, we do not accept arrivals past midnight.
• The price includes breakfast and all taxes ( 17%, which most hotels add to their rates).
  

RESERVATION REQUIREMENTS

• We accept reservations (only) from 9 am to 5 pm (Central Standard Time) Monday - Saturday.
• Minimum 3 nights stay during high season.
• A 50% deposit required within 10 days when placing a reservation, by credit card using our secure reservation form to Reserve your room.
• There will be a $50 US fee for all cancellations.
• Since we are a small, family run, high service Bed and Breakfast, there is a 10 day cancellation policy. If you cancel with less than 10 days notice, the deposit will not be refunded.
• No cancellation refund is possible during specifically indicated periods, for example Day of The Dead, Christmas and New Years.
• We accept travelers checks, cash, or credit cards: VISA, MasterCard, Discover & Diner's Club as final payment.
